9th Lymington Sea Scouts are collecting used stamps to send to the RNIB. Can you help us?
On Friday 5th February we will be sending off another batch of used stamps to help the RNIB raise funds to support people with sight loss.
Terri Ross, from the Volunteer Stamp Appeal Team at the RNIB has recently written to thank us for our support; “I am writing to say thank you for helping us in our fundraising efforts by helping us collect as many stamps as possible. Any amount large or small is much appreciated. I can assure you that every stamp you send will help raise money for the Royal National Institute of Blind People. We provide over sixty services to visually impaired children and adults with your support.
Over the financial year of 2014-2015 we raised an amazing £21,458! Our target for this financial year is £25,000 so we need more supporters to achieve this figure. So far we have raised £17,600.00. We need approximately 4,500,000 stamps by March so please keep collecting! Thank you again!”
Helping is easy: simply save any stamps you receive on your post and either give them to a 9th Lymington Beaver, Cub, Sea Scout or Explorer to bring along, or you can pop in an envelope and post through the letterbox of the 9th Lymington Sea Scout Headquarters in Kings Saltern Road.
